Go terminal window manager and multiplexer with persistent sessions that also launches fleets of coding agents in worktrees and collects their state and approvals in one Inbox.
Keeping agent state and approvals in one Inbox inside a terminal multiplexer.
Core features
- Sandboxed runsNo
Docs and code searched for sandbox, Docker, container and VM. Agents run in panes on your machine, and grants.md says of pane grants: "They are not a sandbox".
Source - Diff review YesSource
- Agent coordination YesSource
- Scheduled tasksNo
No built-in scheduler found in docs or code. The recipe tells you to use your own cron or systemd timer: "A cron line can start one each morning".
Source - Event triggersNo
Docs and code searched for webhook, trigger, issue events and chat bridges. The only webhook is outbound for notifications, and hooks react to tuios's own events.
- Team collaboration Partial
Several people can attach to one session over SSH or the web, but every client has full control. There are no accounts, roles or per-person access.
Source - API / CLI control YesSource
Pricing
MIT, no paid tier found.
Platforms
Linux, macOS, Windows, FreeBSD, OpenBSD binaries; browser access through a separate tuios-web binary
Research notes
Answer to the brief question: yes, it runs and coordinates agents, not only observes them. fan/start-agent/worktree/ship commands launch agents, mix harnesses and open PRs. Default launch is typing the agent command into a pane; --protocol acp or codex runs it headless over ACP or the Codex app-server. Plan use is inferred from how it launches agents. TUIOS runs the real CLI in a pane, so agents use the login they already have. The docs never mention plans. Its credential deny list limits only what its own file commands can read. Remote means named ssh hosts (tuios fan --host). Website shows v0.12.0.
