Research notes
Deployment is cloud in the sense that sandboxes run on Modal or Daytona, but there is no vendor SaaS: you deploy it to your own accounts. Single-tenant only by design. The brief's name is Open Inspect; repo is background-agents. One harness per session, fixed for its lifetime, and child sessions inherit it, so a single task tree cannot mix vendors, though parallel sessions can. Older docs/CLAUDE_AGENT.md still says two harnesses; the newer harness page says three. Credentials are installation-wide and can persist in snapshots, per the README.
