Official product image · supplied by the project

A multi-device client and daemon for running and steering many coding agents on your own machines from phone, desktop or browser, synced through an encrypted relay.

GOOD FIT FOR

Multi-device control of agents on your own hardware through an encrypted relay.

Core features

  • Sandboxed runsNo

Docs and repo code were searched for sandbox, docker, container and VM. Sandbox mentions cover each agent's own policies and isolated environments for developing Happier itself. Happier does not set up a container or VM for agent runs.

  • Diff review YesSource
  • Agent coordination YesSource
  • Scheduled tasks YesSource
  • Event triggers Partial

A person can start work by chatting with the Grok bot on X. Docs and code were searched for webhook and issue triggers. Webhooks only send notifications out, and no outside event starts a session by itself.

    Source
  • Team collaboration Partial

Direct session sharing with view, edit or manage access needs the Friends feature, which is experimental and off by default. Only read-only public links work without it, and there are no team accounts.

    Source
  • API / CLI control YesSource

Pricing

Everything is free and MIT, including the hosted Happier Cloud relay: no seats, trial or feature gate.

Platforms

macOS, Windows, Linux desktop and CLI; native iOS and Android apps; web app at cloud.happier.dev. Sessions can also be managed through a Grok bot on X.

Research notes

Relation to Happy: a separate project started by former Happy contributors, not part of slopus. The README says they began as upstream contributors and needed faster iteration, and credits 'the foundation Happy provided'. Its LICENCE keeps the 'Happy Coder Contributors' copyright, which suggests it derives from Happy's code, though GitHub does not mark it as a fork. Default branch is dev and the license file is spelled LICENCE. Integration read from code: apps/cli/src/backends/codex has both appServer and acp paths; Claude is spawned as a process in stream-json mode (apps/cli/src/backends/claude/sdk/query.ts, a local wrapper). Docs mark only Claude, Codex and OpenCode as Stable among 19 agents, so the rest of the provider list is less mature. A relay is required, but it can be Happier Cloud or self-hosted, and it only syncs encrypted sessions, so cloud is not listed under deployment.
