Self-hosted hub and CLI wrapper for starting, handing off and controlling coding-agent sessions from web, phone or Telegram.

GOOD FIT FOR

Self-hosting a hub to start and hand off sessions away from your desk.

Core features

  • Sandboxed runsNo

Docs and code were searched for sandbox, docker, container and VM. The only sandbox mentions are each agent's own modes, and HAPI sets up no container or VM for runs.

  • Diff review YesSource
  • Agent coordination YesSource
  • Scheduled tasks Partial

A message can be queued to an existing session for one later time, up to 7 days ahead. There are no recurring schedules, and creating a scheduled send in the apps is iOS-only.

    Source
  • Event triggers Partial

A person can start and steer sessions from the Telegram Mini App. No webhook, issue, pull request or chat mention starts work by itself.

    Source
  • Team collaborationNo

Several people can use one hub through namespaces, but the docs say "Namespaces are isolated: sessions, machines, and users are not visible across namespaces.". Nothing is shared between them.

    Source
  • API / CLI control YesSource

Pricing

CLI, hub and Web/PWA are free and open source. Native apps are paid downloads; the App Store lookup showed $9.90 USD on 2026-11-05. Google Play showed $9.99 on 2026-11-05.

Platforms

Web/PWA, native iOS and Android apps, Telegram Mini App, and a CLI on the working machine.

Research notes

Independent, local-first alternative to Happy, credited in the README. Agents table: Codex uses native terminal plus codex app-server (0.154.0+); Claude uses a terminal wrapper locally and the Claude Agent SDK remotely. own_subscription rests on weaker evidence than a plain statement, because the docs never use the word subscription: cli/src/runner/README.md lists the agent's existing login or a supplied CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN for Claude and the existing Codex home for Codex, and a Codex slash command help line reads 'ChatGPT login'. BYOK is explicit only for Grok via XAI_API_KEY; Claude and Codex API-key use is not documented. Remote covers a hub on a VPS and runners on other machines; the default public relay carries traffic only. Gemini was removed and hapi gemini now only prints an error. Worktree sessions exist, but HAPI is more a remote control than a parallel dispatcher.
