Official product image · supplied by the project

A terminal UI that runs several CLI coding agents in separate tmux sessions and git worktrees, with diff review and background auto-accept mode.

GOOD FIT FOR

Running CLI agents in tmux sessions and worktrees with diff review.

Core features

  • Sandboxed runsNo

README and full repo searched for docker, sandbox, container and VM. Nothing found; sessions run in local tmux.

  • Diff review YesSource
  • Agent coordinationNo

README and Go code searched for spawn, message, delegate and orchestrate. Sessions run side by side with no way to reach each other.

  • Scheduled tasksNo

README and full repo searched for cron and schedule. Nothing found; the daemon only auto-accepts prompts.

  • Event triggersNo

README and full repo searched for webhook, trigger and chat. Nothing found.

  • Team collaborationNo

README and full repo searched for team, share and invite. Nothing found; it is a local terminal app.

  • API / CLI controlNo

The CLI has only completion, debug, help, reset and version commands. The flags change how the interface launches, and the code has no API, socket or MCP server.

Pricing

Free AGPL open source; no paid tier or pricing page found.

Platforms

Terminal app installed as cs via Homebrew or shell script; requires tmux and gh. Supported operating systems are not stated in the README.

Research notes

Status is a judgment call: there is no official notice, but the latest commits are bug fixes and nothing has been pushed since the v1.0.20 release, so it reads as maintenance rather than rapid development. Any agent can be launched through cs -p or a config profile, which also covers local models (the README example is aider with ollama). The BYOK evidence is the documented OPENAI_API_KEY step for Codex. Plan use is inferred from how it launches agents. Claude Squad starts the real CLI in a tmux session and leaves its auth alone (session/tmux/tmux.go), so agents use the login they already have. The docs never mention plans, and the only Codex setup step in the README is OPENAI_API_KEY.
